| Most Saturdays, Lee is painting plein air on the sidewalk at Reeves Furniture/Hardware Store in Clayton, Georgia. She oil paints on her deck at home during the week. Bill, her husband, built a roof over the deck, so that she could paint outdoors, watching birds at the feeders and just enjoying the scenery around their cottage, overlooking Owl Mountain and Possum Holler'. She begins a painting with a little bit of anticipation, wondering where it will take her. But, as the paint covers the canvas, she gains momentum and lets the paint take her towards satisfaction. Then, at the point of completion, she appreciates the power of creativity. It is always a surprise, a wonder and a joy. Her pet portraits can be painted from photographs or she would be willing to photograph your pet, if you are in the area. |
