Each jewelry piece is created from
melted sterling, which is poured in an
ingot; when cooled, becomes sheet or
wire after being drawn through a rolling
mill frequent times for the proper
thickness.
Then, the sterling sheet is cut into
pieces, laid in a pattern, fused (melted)
into a shape, using an oxygen acetylene
torch.
Using a commercial buffer, each piece is
cleaned and polished. The final step
requires assembly of beads for each
necklace. The bracelet is pounded into
shape on an anvil. The earrings have
sterling posts soldered in place, or
sterling wires.
The final steps include washing and a
soft-cloth buffing.
